Paige Stroud - Riding Instructor

Paige Stroud has been a professional horseman for over 20 years. Horses have been her passion since her family purchased their first of many in 1972. She showed in 4-H in her younger years, then competing in the AQHA shows as a teenager. She gained knowledge of the care and behavior of horses while working at her family’s hobby breeding farm throughout high school and college. She received her Associates of Arts in Equine Science in 1983, and then went on to Colorado State University. There she was on the CSU Judging Team, and became a CSU Certified Riding Instructor. After returning home she leased and managed, Twin Springs Stable, in Bothell, where she grew a busy lesson and training program as well as continuing to judge. Paige’s students were successful in the show arena, winning in numerous events and earning year end High-Point awards. In 1996 Paige took a break from the professional ranks to compete in Non- Pro reining. Her daughter was born in 1997 and by 2004 the show bug had bitten her! Paige began instructing again, and took over the reins as director/instructor of Carolyn Rice Quarter Horses Academy of Horsemanship in 2005. Paige enjoys teaching and working with Carolyn Rice in the positive atmosphere at Cascade Meadows. It makes work a pleasure and the perfect place for her daughter to grow as a horseman and a person! Paige is a lifetime member of AQHA and NRHA, and judges NRHA and Open Shows.
